The Grand Canyon River Heritage Coalition is a newly formed group of organizations and individuals dedicated to supporting and advocating for the proposed Grand Canyon River Heritage Museum at Grand Canyon National Park’s South Rim Village.
We are working with our partners, the National Park Service and the Grand Canyon Association, to help bring this exciting museum proposal to life within a refurbished Laundry Building. Located in an eye-catching site just south and across the railroad tracks from the Bright Angel Lodge, this impressive stone structure is one of the Park’s principal historic buildings.
We will soon post a wealth of information on this site about the Coalition and its efforts, about this exciting project, and about Grand Canyon National Park's irreplaceable collection of historic river boats and related artifacts. We are now able to gratefully accept your tax deductible donations to support this important work. Please click the on the button below to donate by credit card, or mail us a check along with your name and address to the address listed below. We greatly appreciate your support!
Please check back soon and stay in touch with this wonderful project. With your help, the Grand Canyon historic boat collection and related artifacts will at long last find a permanent home where this unique cultural material can be properly cared for while remaining accessible to the public.
We invite you to join with us in strengthening this important link between the "rim and the river" for park visitors as we work to capture the rich stories of explorers and adventurers who tackled the mighty Colorado River, reveal the evolution of river running in Grand Canyon, discover how this history underlies today's river experience, and discern what the future may hold
Thank you very much!
